Chartermarque was established in October 2007 by Scott Morton following his departure from the specialist pension consultancy practice of ‘big four’ accountants KPMG. Scott’s service at KPMG totaled more than 15 years.

The firm’s ethos and business model reflects this background with the emphasis on the highest standards of professionalism and quality of service delivery. Our accreditation as ‘Chartered Financial Planners’ also reflects our commitment to meet and maintain the highest possible standards.

Before undertaking any work we always set out in writing full details of the services to be delivered and the cost of those services. Our charges are fee based and transparent and can be on a ‘time-cost’, ‘fixed-fee’ or ‘ad-valorem’ basis.

Since its inception, the business has grown organically through the careful selection and appointment of like-minded, well qualified fellow professionals and the staff complement now stands at nine – three of whom are fully qualified Chartered Financial Planners.

In 2017 the firm merged with Fairstone Financial Management Ltd; its Chartered status confirms that, like Chartermarque, it abides by the highest professional and ethical standards and shares our conviction on the importance if independent advice. We were initially attracted to Fairstone through the appeal of becoming part of a national Chartered financial planning business with regulatory and compliance support which undoubtedly benefits our clients and allows us to spend more time with them.
